Bethlehem Steel FC tied Orlando City B 2-2 Saturday night playing with 10 men for the majority of the second half. Steel FC now have a record of 2-2-3 with nine points.
The game quickly sprung into life when Orlando City B scored an own-goal in the 12th minute. Eric Ayuk passed the ball to Fabian Herbers who was in the 18-yard box, but Orlando City B defender Tony Rocha got a foot on it and sent it into the back of his own net. Moments later in the 14th minute, Herbers scored his second goal of the season to give Steel FC a 2-0 lead.
Orlando City B soon responded when Tyler Turner shot from outside of Steel FC’s 18-yard box in the 17th minute. The strike took a deflection and Steel FC conceded their first goal since April 17. The remainder of the half saw several chances for both teams. James Chambers almost made the score 3-1 just before the half but the ball trickled past the far post.
Five minutes into the second half Bethlehem Steel FC were reduced to 10 after Walter Restrepo received a straight red card. In the 54th minute, Cox equalized the game for Orlando City B. Despite playing with ten men, Steel FC managed to create several chances on goal but the game ended with the score level.
